We have a number of roles available for Part 2 architectural assistants with experience of working on complex schemes, to work with project architects on a variety of residential and mixed-use schemes.

The role:

  • - involvement in initial feasibility and sketch designs
  • - being responsible for producing, coordinating and checking specifications, drawings and other documents for their project(s) in conjunction with their team leader
  • - developing schemes for planning and other approvals
  • - developing scheme designs to detailed design and on to production information stages
  • - producing information including drawings, schedules and assistance with specification writing
  • - materials and product sourcing and selection
  • - developing the coordinated design with the input of other consultants, specialists and contractors
  • - site inspections and quality control including dealing with contractors’ queries


Technical skills:

  • - drawing and presentation skills
  • - competency in Revit is essential
  • - written and verbal communication skills
  • - ability to produce coherent and well resolved architectural designs
  • - understanding of building technologies and environmental design and ability to employ structural theories, construction techniques and processes
  • - knowledge of with technical standards, regulatory frameworks and health and safety requirements
  • - knowledge of how a small business operates and the factors involved in the management of an architectural project
  • - understand the professional duty of care arising from the relationships between client and architects, employer and employee
  • - ability to assist in contract administration


Personal skills:

  • - team player
  • - ability to work under own initiative
  • - ability to manage and appraise own working practices and career progression goals
  • - ability to manage and communicate with other team members.
  • - employ a suitable level of professionalism
