PDP London worked with Imperial College with the aim to provide an exemplary sustainable residential development in an urban location in a spatially demanding site and location whilst respecting the context of the setting within the Pembridge Conservation Area.
An innovative approach was taken to the design of the replacement for the Imperial’s Pembridge Road annex building, including six copper clad town houses with basement parking. The buildings responded inherently to orientation where a passive ventilation system running through the walls as well as careful positioning of energy gathering surfaces that drove the form of the windows and roofscape.
