Alec has a wide range of experience with a focus on all scales of residential design within mixed-use context. He also has significant involvement in new and existing, retail and commercial developments and has completed a number of projects which involve the conversion of historic buildings. He enjoys the special longevity that the results of his work produce, gaining a sense of satisfaction from witnessing people using and existing in the spaces that he creates.

Over a ten year period, Alec played a major role in the Duke of York Square development for Cadogan, steering a wide variety of buildings including apartments, offices, retail and the Saatchi Gallery from design through to completion on this major urban development. More recently, Alec led the team which produced our new, award-winning studio at Eccleston Yards and is designing large scale, mixed-use, residential-led projects such as the proposed new development at Alperton Lane.

Alec is an external examiner for RIBA North West, and also Brighton, Bath, The Bartlett and Westminster Schools of Architecture. He is also an ex-member of the NBS Advisory Panel.


Tell us about a quirky hobby you have?

I part own a very small microbrewery and brew a mean pale ale.
