Urban Design, Masterplan

Winning entry in an international design competition for the rejuvenation of Badami town precinct in Bangalore, India. The entry focused on an incremental approach to the sensitive regeneration of the Badami historic precinct and was designed in collaboration with Gray Parikh Architects and Space Syntax.

Location: Bangalore, India

Key to the concept is a framework of design ideas from spatial to economic and managerial can contribute to developing a sustainable strategy for managing the heritage-led regeneration. The intent was to promote and celebrate tourism as a positive force for heritage conservation as well as contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants. The competition was organised by Catalytic Think Tank.
