In the press: FAV Hotel Hiroshima Heiwaodori

Opened at the end of 2022, FAV Hotel Hiroshima Heiwaodori has been getting attention in the Japanese press recently. The design reflects FAV Hotels’ new approach to hotel room design; rooms that appeal to larger group travel with families and friends as well as catering for longer stays for both domestic and international travellers.

Appointed as both facade and interior designers, our Hong Kong Studio team delved into the history and context of the site so that the local DNA could be infused into the design to create a unique hotel for the FAV group. Click here to view our project page.

In other coverage, Architect Makoto Tanijiri - who grew up in Hiroshima - has spoken to Casa BRUTUS about his visit to the FAV Hotel Hiroshima Heiwaodori.

“The moment I entered the hotel, I had the impression that every detail was beautifully crafted. For example, the edges of the tables and the walls of the corridor. It's comfortable to the touch and eyes, and softens the space. In addition, there are no unnecessary decorations, and it is made to a minimum. The simple and beautiful design has a clean feeling. That's also good. The balance between design and function I thought it blended well."
