The People's Pavilion - co-designed by young people

We’re pleased to lend our skills to support the People’s Pavilion – a competition to create, curate and host London’s first community space designed entirely by young people.

This inventive new approach to co-design is about engaging young people in East London in both placemaking and the programming of arts and cultural activities. The ultimate aim is to develop their skills, build networks and introduce participants to new careers in the design, build and creative sector. The collaboration by Beyond the Box, Here East and the RIBA invites young people to work in partnership with professionals from the design, construction and creative arts industries.

The programme started in March this year and we are lending a hand with the skills workshops which are taking place next week during half term. The 10 day festival will take place in August and we can’t wait to see what our young people create.
